Love that hair! I am a hairdresser who has stopped covering the gray, as well. It is becoming The New Thing to let your hair be naturally gray/streaked w/gray. Everyone has their own comfort zone about it. Dark haired women (like me) find that as they become more gray/white, that their roots are showing so quickly that they look as if they have a skunk streak. We have to color 2-3 times a month: that’s so time consuming! I also stumbled across your blog; very interesting!!!

I Googled “beautiful gray hair” because I am 24 years old and am getting gray hairs. I have never dyed my hair and never intend to either! Of all the pictures that came up when I did my Google search, your hair is by far the prettiest and most healthy looking. I love that particular length, too! Thanks for being who you are and sending a positive message to women of all ages.

Gorgeous hair! Is it yours? If it is, what do you use for yellowing and do you use a white gloss to obtain that look or did you just never have any black and gray?

Did you put any gloss on while it was all growing out?

I found a list of 3 products I have yet to try:

Clairol Shimmer Lights Shampoo
Phytargent Whitening Shampoo
Artec White Violet Color Shampoo

apparently they contain bluing tints. I may give them a try to help with a bit of yellowing.

I am 47 and have let my hair come into it’s own color. I stopped coloring it in February 2009.

Some days I am content…no more monthly coloring, staining, etc. Some days I think it may make me appear older than I am….

My hair is white in some areas and salt and pepper in others….like you woman have stopped me to comment on the color (moslty positive)…
