A little madness in the Spring

As I ponder spring cleaning in the gardens, weeding and planting I am delighted that this year we had a lot of rain and the trees and flowers are a bloom. Never have I seen so many Azaleas breaking out! The wild Wisteria climbing through the trees, sprinkled with dogwood, pink or white blooms abound! And so dear reader I found myself feeling a bit like the poem Emily Dickenson wrote about Spring, that in fact it is “A little madness in the Spring”. Ah Spring! the earth waking up and everything is new and fresh!
A little madness in the Spring
Is wholesome even for the King,
But God be with the Clown —
Who ponders this tremendous scene —
This whole Experiment of Green —
As if it were his own!
